This morning as I took my usual walk through the Camden Yard’s Warehouse to get to my office I noticed something different. It wasn’t something out of the ordinary, something in the air was different. There were more people walking around, more trucks coming in for delivery and more cars in the parking lot. It was controlled chaos. It could only mean one thing when there are more people working at a baseball stadium: Opening Day is right around the corner.
On any given spring weekend you can head to one of the numerous fields across the state of and see one of the many soccer tournaments that brings athletes from all over the United States to Maryland. Maryland hosts some of the biggest and best soccer tournaments in the country. Behind these tournaments is a great company, Elite Tournaments. Over the past 14 years Elite Tournaments has put on countless quality soccer tournaments and have become one of the premier tournament management companies in the country.
Another successful year is in the books for the SAC Amanda Post Memorial Tournament that wrapped up this past weekend in Ellicott City. The two weekend tournament, however, is about more than just soccer; they were about celebrating Amanda’s life and her family. Continue reading
The University of Delaware may have left with CAA crown, but it was the city of Baltimore that was the real winner. The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) held its Men’s Basketball Championship Tournament this past weekend at the Baltimore Arena. All nine schools were represented in this year’s tournament, but it was the University of Delaware that will go dancing into the NCAA Tournament.
